Björn Rohles is a media scholar who specialized in user experience, digital strategy, and design. He has investigated the influences of user experience (UX) on digital concept mapping for his Ph.D. and is currently specializing on UX in digital education.

Before joining the human-computer interaction research group, Björn Rohles gained seven years of working experience as a project manager in agencies and enterprises. He was responsible for determining digital strategies, creating digital products (websites, apps), and various digital marketing activities. During his studies, he worked several years in the reception lab of the University of Trier where he investigated usability, user experience, and multimodal media reception. Björn has published two books about digital design in German (“Grundkurs gutes Webdesign”, 2 editions; and “Mediengestaltung – der Ausbildungsbegleiter”) and is regularly contributing to various magazines.
