Doctoral researcher
Xiaowei Chen is a doctoral researcher at the intersection of HCI and cybersecurity, focusing on enhancing workplace security behavior through user-oriented interventions and user experience design. He joined the team in January 2022. He leads and contributes to the “AES anti-phishing” project.

Xiaowei obtained his Master of Science degree from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden. He was an Erasmus student at KU Leuven in Belgium for his education. He utilized a range of methods for his projects, including interviews, focus groups, surveys, scale evaluations, mixed-design experiments, factorial experiments, research-through-design, and co-design. In addition to his academic pursuits, Xiaowei is a certified cook in traditional Chinese cuisine. He worked as a chef in China and New Zealand for one and a half years. He enjoys travel, running, and hiking.
