Assessment is an integral part of learning. Given the importance that learning has for a society, it is essential to ensure that students can adequately express their knowledge in an assessment situation, without any obstacles imposed by the system. Furthermore, a user-friendly assessment system should support the teachers’ work and help them create assessments that are easy-to-use.

In tight collaboration with the LUCET, we apply user experience (UX) design methods to support the development of an online assessment system (OASYS) for deployment in Luxembourgish schools. It links technical aspect and the user needs.

As a next step, we will interview Luxembourgish teachers to understand how OASYS meets their needs. We will also design new interfaces to improve OASYS features.
